About PanResize
A free PAN card resizer for one job: getting your photo, signature and Aadhaar accepted by the PAN portal on the first try.
Why PanResize exists
The PAN portals reject files for reasons that have nothing to do with you. The photo is 4 KB over the limit. The DPI tag says 72 when the portal wants 200. The Aadhaar scan is a 2 MB PDF when the cap is 300 KB. The error message rarely says which one it was, so people end up guessing, re-cropping and paying a cyber café to do it for them.
PanResize takes the guessing out. You pick NSDL or UTIITSL, crop, and download files that already match that portal's size, DPI and file-weight rules. It's free, there's nothing to install, and it works the same on a phone as on a laptop.
What the tool does
Photo and signature resizing
Locked crop boxes and exact output for NSDL (197 × 276 px, 200 DPI, under 50 KB) and UTIITSL (213 × 213 px, 300 DPI, under 30 KB). Signatures get 200 or 600 DPI.
Aadhaar PDF merger
Front and back of your Aadhaar on one A4 page, as an unlocked PDF under 300 KB.
Nothing is uploaded
Every crop, resize and PDF is made inside your browser. We never receive your files.
Signature clean-up
Grey, shadowy paper turns white automatically, so a phone photo of your signature looks like a scan.
How we keep the specs accurate
Every number in the tool comes from the upload instructions published by Protean (formerly NSDL e-Gov) and UTIITSL. We re-check them regularly and whenever the rules change. The most recent change was the switch from Form 49A to Form 93 under the Income-tax Rules, 2026. Specs were last checked on 17 October 2026.
Spotted a portal asking for something different? Tell us. A screenshot of the portal's instruction text helps us update the preset quickly.
Who uses PanResize
Mostly people applying for a new PAN or correcting an old one from their phone. Parents applying for a child's PAN, and NRIs filling the foreign-citizen form, use it too. So do CSC operators and PAN agents who prepare dozens of applications a week. For them, Start over clears every file between applicants, and each download is named by portal.
What we are not
PanResize is an independent tool run by the PanResize team. We are not part of, or endorsed by, Protean eGov Technologies, UTIITSL or the Income Tax Department of India. We can't check your application status, take payments or change your PAN details. For any of that, go to the Protean PAN site or the UTIITSL PAN site.
